Letters to the editor: Student council members hope voters will say 'yes' to Hall

The building of the new school is something that will affect a great many people — students, parents, community members, etc. — but the group that may see the least actual use of the school is us, the current students. Despite the fact that we may never see any personal progress affected, it is very important to each and every member of the student council to have the referendum passed.
Many of us spend more time in the school than we do at home, and it is obvious to us that the learning environment, both academic as well as extracurricular, is severely lacking. As students the technology that is needed for our success later in college and ultimately life just is not up to par. Building flaws and damages make for distracted learning, and many times no learning at all.
Contrary to some beliefs, the referendum is not in any way a matter that focuses on comfort. It is necessary to continue the tradition and undying successes of proud Hall graduates. For all of these reasons and countless more, we, the face of Hall High School, know that this vote is a must.
Nicole Ernat, Rebecca Dagraedt, Landon Picatto, Sam Rizzo and 11 other members of the Hall Student Council
