Starved Rock Lodge schedules upcoming events
Fox Ridge, an outdoor education and entertainment area at Starved Rock Lodge & Conference Center, will host several programs this summer.

Fox Ridge, an outdoor education and entertainment area at Starved Rock Lodge & Conference Center, will host several programs this summer.



Starved Rock Lodge has scheduled outdoor education and entertainment events for summer and fall at Fox Ridge.

  • Storytelling Festival will be June 7-9, with sessions at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. Sunday. There will be a storytelling workshop 1-3 p.m. Saturday for children K-6.
  • Saturday Night Storytelling will be at 7 p.m. every Saturday through October. There will be a campfire, hotdogs and ‘smores.
  • Wilderness Wednesdays are at 3 p.m. each Wednesday, with a different nature education topic each week. Examples include weather, falconry, furry friends and bees.
  • Sunday afternoons will include concerts and programs such as chuck wagon dinner and cowboy show.
  • Pioneer Days Festival will include a petting zoo, stagecoach rides, medicine show, crafts, frontier skills workshop, Chuck Wagon Dinner and Cowboy Show.
