Alan Tally, who grew up in Chicago and moved to Mendota when he retired, took many backpacking trips in the 1980s and 1990s to Wyoming.
He decided to share photos from those memorable trips with News Tribune outdoors readers. Most of his trips were to the Bridger Wilderness.
“This place was so good I kept going back,” Tally said.
He was often accompanied by his three dogs, Bunky, Sonny and Pepper. He’s writing a book about these dogs, Tally said.
