Carl Dzik



Carl A. Dzik, 77, a resident of Naperville since 1966, formerly of La Salle, died Aug. 31, 2014, in his home after a year-long battle with lung cancer.
He was born in La Salle.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Maryanne (Wojciechowski); two daughters, Carolyn (Mark) Stenner of LaGrange Park and Christine (David) Columbus of Edina, Minn.; five grandchildren, Ellen, Thomas, William and Henry Stenner and Andrew Columbus; five siblings, Marilyn (Paul) Smudzinski, Tom (Marianne ) Dzik, John (Linda) Dzik, JoAnn (Larry) Liss and Paul (Jan) Dzik; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Carl served in the U.S. Army for two years and was employed in the production accounting department at Caterpillar Inc., until his retirement in 1999. He enjoyed playing golf, gardening, following his favorite sports teams and spending time with his grandchildren.
Private burial services will be at a later date at St. Hyacinth Cemetery, La Salle.
Memorials may be directed to Harbor Light Hospice, 800 Roosevelt Road, Building C, Suite 206, Glen Ellyn, IL 60137.
