Inez (Kratz) Clinch, 96, of Peru died the morning of Aug. 16, 2014, in Heritage Health, Peru.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Mueller Funeral Home, Peru, followed by Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church, Peru, with the Rev. Harold Datzman, O.S.B., officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Webster Park.
Visitation will be 9-10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
She was born Dec. 27, 1917, in Peru to Peter and Apollonia (Schmitt) Kratz. She married Bernard T. Clinch on June 21, 1941, in St. Joseph’s Church, Peru.
She worked at Sears in La Salle for many years. Mrs. Clinch was a lifelong member of St. Joseph’s Church in Peru and the Altar and Rosary Society.
She is survived by four children, Michael “Mick” (Cheri) Clinch of Ottawa, Thomas  (Lonna) Clinch of San Antonio, Texas, James (Laurel) Clinch of Albuquerque N.M., and Mary Ann (Ralph) McBride of Rockford; seven grandchildren, Laura Clinch, Scott Clinch, Mark Clinch, Brad McBride, Erin Lind, Brian Moore and Melanie Nellos; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard T. Clinch; three sisters, Bernice Kratz, Jeanne Kratz and Lona Jakse; and two brothers, Quintin “Bud” Kratz and Myron J. Kratz.
Memorials may be directed to Peru Catholic Schools.
