Harold Kennell

Mr. Harold J. Kennell of Wenona, 84, went to be with Jesus on Aug. 9, 2014.

A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Cazenovia Mennonite Church.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday in the church. Burial will be at Roanoke Mennonite Cemetery, rural Roanoke.

Harold was born Aug. 11, 1929, in Roanoke to Peter S. and Sarah (Keller) Kennell. He married Louise M. Miller of Buffalo Center, Iowa, on Aug. 2, 1955.

A member of Cazenovia Mennonite Church, he was a farmer who had a humble, simple faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one infant daughter, Karen Kay Kennell; three sisters and one brother.

He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Marillou (Marli) Kennell of Estes Park, Colo., and Patricia (Ted) Sobel of Oakridge, Ore.; one son, Jeffrey (Laurel) Kennell of Wenona; and seven grandchildren, Grace, Rose, Peter, Emily and Daniel Kennell, Jazlin and Sonya Sobel.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed Cazenovia Mennonite Church designated missions. Online condolences at www.masonhomefunerals.com.
