Lorraine Kubera

Lorraine R. Kubera, 87, of La Salle, died at home July 30, 2014.  
Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. Monday in St. Patrick’s Church in La Salle with the Rev Ronald Margherio, O.S.B., officiating. Burial will be at St. Vincent’s Cemetery in La Salle.  
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Sunday in Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle with a rosary at 6:30 pm.Additional visitation will be in the church Monday from 10 a.m. until time of services.
Mrs Kubera was born in Spring Valley on March 9, 1927, to Joseph and Mathilda (Maurer) Lolli.   She married Charles Joseph Kubera in St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Spring Valley on Sept. 25,1948.
Mrs Kubera worked at Westclox and then as a homemaker. Mrs Kubera was a member of St. Patrick’s Church and The Choppers.   She enjoyed her grandchildren and playing a good game of cards.
She is survived by one daughter, Sister Mary Beth Kubera D.C. of St. Louis, Mo..; one son, Michael (Jeanne) Kubera of Rockford; grandchildren Katy, Meghan and Joe; great-grandchildren, Ryan, Luke, Mia and John Michael. 
 Mrs Kubera was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, on Feb. 3,1999; her sister, Georgine; and her parents.
Memorials may be directed to St. Bede.
