Frank Colmone, 86, of Scottsdale, Ariz., formerly of La Salle, was reunited with his wife of 58 years Lois Lucille on July 11, 2014.

A celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Holy Rosary Church. His final resting place will be the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.

Frank was born July 23, 1927.

He served as a private first class in the U.S. Army during World War II. Upon his return home, he moved to Chicago, where he and Lois opened two businesses and started a family. After 15 successful years and three children, Frank and Lois packed up and headed west to Scottsdale. For the next 15 years Frank worked for Scottsdale Health Care’s Neighborhood Outreach Action for Health, driving the mobile clinic. For most of Frank’s adult life he was an active member of the Knights of Columbus, serving at all levels in the council including Faithful Navigator.

He was loved by all he came in contact with and was always up for a good cup of coffee and game of cards.

He is survived by one daughter, Mary Ann (Rick) Sarantos; one son, Frank (Christina) Colmone, and daughter Margaret Dix; grandchildren Aaron (Carly) Colmone, Matthew Sarantos, TawiColmone, Michelle Sarantos and Allyson Dix; one brother, Jack Colmone; and two sisters, Connie Tonarelli and Maggie Gatza.
