Oliver Robison

Oliver Clark Robison, 87, of Putnam died at 9:30 a.m. May 2, 2014, in Heartland Health Care Center, Henry.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in New Life Community Church, Henry. Pastor Tom Schrock will officiate. Inurnment will be at a later date.
Oliver was born July 26, 1926, in La Prairie Township, Sparland, to Wilber and Irma (Bare) Robison. He married the love of his life Vera Lorraine Hodge on Nov. 24, 1950.
He had served in the U.S. Army from 1944 to 1946.
Oliver worked as a carpenter for the family business “Robison Brothers.”
He was a member of Henry VFW Post 555 and Henry Untied Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife. During their union they had three children, Gary (Leah) Robison of Spring Valley, Vickie (Gary) Gomez of Anna, Texas, and Kevin (Tammy) Robison of Putnam; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers, Francis, Hank and Junior.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Cecil and Hershel Robison; and two grandchildren, Shannon Marie and Daniel Isaiah.
Memorials may be directed to the donor’s choice.
Calvert & Johnson Memorial Home, Henry is in charge of arrangements.
