Nancy A. Hylla, 83, of LaSalle, died April 12, 2014.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday in St. Valentine Church, Peru, with the Rev. William Gardner officiating. Burial will be at St. Vincent’s Cemetery, La Salle.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of the Mass Monday in the church. Hurst Funeral Home, La Salle, is handling arrangements.
She was born April 2, 1931, in La Salle to Edward and Mary (Ermacoire) Mueller. She married Edward W. Hylla on July 1, 1950, in St. Joseph Church, La Salle.
Mrs. Hylla, along with her husband Ed, founded Baker’s Dozen, Peru. Nancy still worked at Walt Zukowski Law Office in Peru. She was a member of St. Valentine’s Church.
Survivors are two sons, Edward J. (Peggy) Hylla of La Salle and Gary (Ellyn) Hylla of Peru; five daughters, Nancy Lee (Walter) Zukowski of Peru, Cheryl Lynn (Vince) Cilla of Peru, Mary Beth (Jim Myers) Garnacarz of La Salle, Lynette (David) Shay of Oley, Pa., and Missy (Brian) Argubright of La Salle; 19 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Jean (John) Picatto of Oglesby, Pat Beck of Oglesby and Mary (Fran) Scoma of La Salle. Also surviving is her dearest pet, Rosie.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ed on Jan. 21, 2006.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Valentine’s Church or donor’s choice.
