Domicella "Dee" Vollenweider



Domicella “Dee” Vollenweider, 88, formerly of La Salle and McNabb, died Feb. 27, 2014, in Harvest Manor, Denham Springs, La.
She was born April 21, 1925, in La Salle to John and Mary (Zmvoka) Gunia, LaSalle.
She married Harry W. Vollenweider on Aug. 23, 1947, in La Salle.
She graduated from La Salle-Peru Township High School. She was a former member of Mount Palatine Catholic Church, rural McNabb, and McNabb American Legion Auxiliary. She was a homemaker.
They spent their married life in McNabb before retiring and moving to Denham Springs LA.
Survivors are her sons, Robert W. and William (Tammy) Vollenweider of Denham Springs; five grandchildren and their children; one brother, Philip, of Florida; one sister-in-law, Carol Pelz of Toluca; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband on June 26, 2006; and nine siblings.
