Larry Lee Nevitt, 72, of Tiskilwa passed away March 3, 2014, in his home.
A celebration of life will be 10 a.m.-noon Tuesday, March 11 in Norberg Memorial Home, Princeton. Burial will be private and at a later date.
He was born Jan. 2, 1942, in Princeton to James V. and Francis (Greenback) Nevitt.
He attended Tiskilwa High School and served in the U.S. Marines  from 1959-1963. He retired in 2002, after 22 years as a diesel mechanic for Pilot and Road Ranger. He loved to fish, mushroom hunt and arrowhead collect.
Survivors are his four children, Ann Nevitt of Golden, Colo., Tim Nevitt and Randy Nevitt, both of Tiskilwa and Wendy Nevitt Coll of Bagley, Iowa; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Barb Schmitt of Tiskilwa, Rita Salesman of Tiskilwa and Linda Roberts of Buda; and two brothers, James Nevitt of Slidell, La. and Danny Nevitt of Florida.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one sister, two brothers, one nephew and one great-granddaughter.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
