Adele (Zdaniewicz) Bucar, 86, of Peru passed away Feb. 19, 2014, at her home. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Valentine Church, Peru, with the Rev. William Gardner, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at St. Vin-cent Cem-tery, La Salle. Visita-tion will be from 9 a.m. until the time of services Saturday in the church. Arrangements are by Mueller Funeral Home in Peru. She was born Aug. 31, 1927, in La Salle to Walter and Marie (Placek) Zdaniewicz. She married Louis Bucar Jr. on Oct. 2, 1948, in St. Roch’s Church, La Salle. Mrs. Bucar graduated from St. Mary’s Hospital School of Nursing in 1948 and worked as a registered nurse at Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove Village. She was a member of St. Valentine Church, Peru, St. Mary’s Alumni Association and National Association of Retired Persons. She is survived by one sister, Elizabeth Filipiak of La Salle; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband on Oct. 18 2000; and one sister, Phyllis Lamchick.
