Eugene Arthur Cicci, 75, of Sycamore, formerly of La Salle, died Jan. 29, 2014, in Kishwaukee Hospital, DeKalb.
A memorial Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Christ the Teacher Parish, DeKalb. The Rev. Matt McMorrow will officiate. Full military rites will be accorded. Burial of cremains will be at a later date.
Mr. Cicci was born Sept. 24, 1938, in La Salle to Arthur and Elizabeth (Rosenkranz) Cicci. He married Patricia Ann Smith on Sept. 8, 1962, in Spring Valley.
He served in the U.S. Navy 1956-1959 aboard the submarine USS Sailfish. He was a member of Christ the Teacher Parish, DeKalb. He worked for more than 31 years at Caterpillar in Montgomery.
Survivors include his wife; one son, Joseph (Tina) Cicci of Joliet; three daughters, Carolyn Cicci of Oshkosh, Wis., Elizabeth (Josh) Arnold of Los Angeles, Calif., and Kate (Greg) Johnson of Elburn; four grandchildren; two sisters, Carole Niejadlik of Flagstaff, Ariz., Mary Beth (Bruce) Brantner of La Salle; and one brother, Jerry Cicci of Las Vegas, Nev.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
