Michael S. Jonas, 41, of La Salle passed away Jan. 5, 2014, in Illinois Valley Community Hospital, Peru.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Mueller-Pagani Funeral Home, La Salle with Pastor Kim Wood of First Congregational United Church of Christ, Ottawa officiating.
Visitat-ion will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of services in the funeral home.
Michael was born Feb. 27, 1972, to John R. and Catherine (Griffey) Jonas in Bradenton, Fla.
 He worked as a stockman at Wal-Mart in Ottawa. He was a semi-pro wrestler known by most as “Jonas the Giant” and was a graphic novel artist in the process of being published. He attended First Congregational United Church of Christ, Ottawa.
He is survived by his fiancée, Lynn Keyt of the home; three daughters, Manda S. Jonas and Michaela S. Jonas of Tiskilwa and Maleeya S Jonas of La Salle; two stepchildren, Jesika E. Muzzarelli and Kalub J. Muzzarelli; two brothers, Mark Jonas of Tiskilwa and John (Mary) Jonas of Washington, Ind.; one sister, Cynthia Crooks of Shelburn, Ind.; and found nephews.
He was preceded in death by one son in infancy and his parents.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
