Mary Ellen Staton, 79, of Princeton passed away Dec. 13, 2013, in Methodist Hospital.
Graveside services for will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Elm Lawn Memorial Park, Princeton. Pastor Scott Schmidt will officiate. Burial will follow.
Visitation will be private. Norberg Memorial Home is assisting the family.
She was born Jan. 4, 1934, in Scottsville, Ill., to Carson and Reta (Jones) Brackett. Mary married Robert R. Staton on May 25, 1957. She worked at Harper Wyman for 30 years. She loved her family and will be greatly missed.
Mary is survived by five children; Randy (Darcy) Staton of Springfield, Theresa (Tim) Oloffson of Wyanet, Rebecca (Daniel Buckman) Staton of Chicago, Kevin Staton of Princeton, and Tim (Melissa Ericson) Staton of Lombard. Also surviving are twelve grandchildren and one great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her husband on Dec. 5, 1997; and 13 siblings.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Diabetes Foundation or Bureau Valley Food Bank.
