Linda K. Sprowls, 68, of Mendota died Dec. 1, 2013, in her residence.
A memorial service will be at a later date.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday in First United Methodist Church, Mendota. Schwarz Funeral Home provided the arrangements.
She was born Jan. 3, 1945, in Mendota to Harold and Maude (Greyer) Lewis. She married Harold “Kenny” Sprowls on April 16, 1960, in Camanche, Iowa.
She worked at Conkey’s, was the bookkeeper for Sprowl’s Body Shop and Auto Salvage and retired in 2009 as head of housekeeping at Stonecroft.
She is survived by her husband; one son, Brian Sprowls of Mendota; one daughter, Deb Koskosky of LaMoille; four grandchildren, Jason (Tammi) Sprowls, Shannon O’Barr, and Caitlin and Paige Koskosky; four great-grandchildren, Zach and Devin Sprowls, Melina and Luciano O’Barr; special friend, Kim of Grayslake; family pet, Roxy; three brothers, Dean (Lupe) Lewis of Peru, Lee (Audrey) Lewis of Meriden; and Douglas (Elsie) Kiser of Brownsdale, Minn.; two sisters-in-law, Judith Lewis of La Salle and Doris Kiser of Brownsdale, Minn.; and one daughter-in-law, Sonia Sprowls of Mendota.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Harold K. Sprowls Jr. on May 26, 2005; two brothers, John “Chub” Lewis and John Kiser; two grandsons, Curtis Daniel Sprowls and Joshua Sprowls; and one sister, Helen Hamilton.
Memorials may be directed to the donor’s choice.
