Dale A. Price Sr., 51, of Spring Valley, formerly of Kewanee, died at 11:29 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013, at St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6 at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee. Jay DeValkenaere will conduct the service. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5 at the funeral home. Cremation will be accorded following the services. He was born Nov. 4, 1961, in Des Plaines, the son of Delbert and Beatrice Joy (Wirtanen) Price. He married Roxann Ince on July 3, 1993, in Kewanee. She survives; as do his parents of Kewanee; five sons, Daniel (Alicia) Parker of Spring Valley, Brian (Juli) Price of Mendota, Dale Price Jr. of Mineral, Jonathon Price of New Jersey and Joshua McCarty of Kewanee; three daughters, Tiffany (Travis) Harrison of Moline, Jennifer Parker of East Moline and Rhiannon McCarty of Kewanee; a brother, George Price of Kewanee; two sisters, Annette (Jay) DeValkenaere and Connie (Jim) Goodrich, both of Kewanee; his in-laws, William (Bonnie) Ince Sr. of Kewanee; 21 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his in-laws, Kenneth and Judith Miller; and an aunt, Susan Price. Dale had worked at Pines Great Dane and did mechanical work at Penzoil. He also had worked as a boat fabricator at Luhr’s in St. Augustine, Fla. He was an outdoorsman, enjoying camping, fishing, boating and hunting.
