Marguerite (Lucas) Alleman
Marguerite L. (Lucas) Alleman, 93, of Triumph passed away Oct. 8, 2013, in her sister’s home.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Mueller Funeral Home, Peru, with the Rev. Sandy Smith, pastor of Triumph United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, La Salle.
Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
She was born Nov. 28, 1919, in Triumph to George and Josephine (Davin) Lucas. She married Eugene Alleman on Feb. 14, 1948, in Tonica.
Mrs. Alleman worked at Westclox and was a secretary. She was a life member of the American Trapshooting Association, past president of the La Salle-Peru Elketts, 20th Century Club, and various organizations. She was a fast-pitch softball player for 16 years, pitching for Westclox Baby Ben and the Charleston All-stars in later years.
Survivors include her son, Jeffrey Alleman of Niceville, Fla.; her sister, Helen Thomson of Triumph; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Eugene on April 28, 1983; and one sister, Florence Oswald; two brothers, Harold “Pete” Lucas and Raymond “Bucky” Lucas.
Pallbearers will be Gary Schmidt, Scott Schmidt, Jim Thomson, Jim Thomson, Jr., John Thomson and Terry Lucas.
Memorial donations may be directed to family for a memorial to be established at a later date.
