Margaret Puza



Margaret Marie (Everhard) Puza, 92, of Peru passed away Sept. 26, 2013, in Illinois Valley Community Hospital, Peru.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Queen of the Holy Rosary Church, La Salle, with the Very Rev. Antonio Dittmer, pastor of La Salle Catholic Parishes, officiating. Burial will follow at Peru City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of services Tuesday in the church. Arrangements are by Mueller-Pagani Funeral Home, La Salle.
She was born Aug. 11, 1921, in Bridgeport, Conn., to Patrick and Elizabeth (Stead) Everhard. She married Charles J. Puza on Feb. 26, 1949, in Devon, Conn.
Mrs. Puza was a member of Queen of Holy Rosary Church, La Salle, past president of La Salle Women’s Club, taught CCD at the church and volunteered for American Red Cross.
She is survived by many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles J. Puza.
Memorial may be directed to family for a memorial to be established at a later date.
