Charlene M. Michels, 65, of 505 W. Dakota St., Spring Valley died at 4:55 p.m. July 19, 2013, at home following a two-year illness.
Services will be at noon Tuesday in Barto Funeral Home, Spring Valley. The Rev. Robert Spilman will officiate. Burial will be at a later date at Valley Memorial Park. Visitat-ion will be from 9 a.m. until time of services Tuesday in the funeral home. She was born Aug. 4, 1947, in La Salle to Joseph and Adele (Krasinski) Jasiek. She married William Michels on Aug. 27, 1966, in Peru.
Mrs. Michels was a homemaker.
Survivors included two daughters, Christa (Tim) Hassler of Cherry and Tricia (Del) Baracani of Spring Valley; one son, Tony (Kim) Michels of Ladd; six grandchildren, Hannah, Gianna, Chloe, Abby, Geno and Ruby; two sisters, Roxanne (Steve) Draper of Peru and Beverly (Jim) Turczyn of The Villages, Fla.; and two brothers, Brian (Kathy) Jasiek of Utica and Gary (Victoria) Jasiek of Hartland, Wis.
She was preceded in death by her husband on March 10, 2000; and one sister.
