Linda Brovelli May, 86, of Johns Creek, Ga., formerly of Oglesby, passed away July 8, 2013.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel at Bernstein Funeral Home, Athens, Ga., with the Rev. David McGuinness officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from noon until the time of services Saturday in the funeral home.
She was born Dec. 19, 1926, in Oglesby to Frank and Norma (Castagna) Brovelli.
She married Robert R. May in 1947 and lived in Oglesby until moving to Athens in 1974.
She worked for Westclox along with her husband, Bob, until retiring in 1989. She relocated to Johns Creek in 2009 to be closer to her children. Mrs. May was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Newcomers Club. She loved traveling with her cousins and enjoyed morning walks with her friends.
Survivors are her five children, Roy (Paula) May of Chicago, Patricia (Gregory) Mahnich of Canton, Ga., Cynthia (John) Gruca of Flowery Branch, Ga., Peggy (Bill) Lyons of Alpharetta, Ga., and Robert May of Atlanta, Ga.; two grandsons, Jason and Christopher Mahnich; seven stepgrandchildren; and nine stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
