Kent S. Hageman, 62, of Gilbert, Ariz., formerly of Peru, passed away June 23, 2013, in his home.
A memorial service will be at noon Wednesday in Mueller Funeral Home, Peru, with the Rev. Kay Harding, pastor of Zion United Church of Christ, Peru officiating.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of services on Wednesday in the funeral home.
Mr. Hageman was born Sept. 11, 1950, in Peru to Erwin and Phyllis (Kincheski) Hageman. He married Lynette Marini on Dec. 30, 1985, in Zion United Church of Christ, Peru.
Mr. Hageman majored in theatre at Illinois State Universityand acted in television commercials and plays during the early 1970s. He opened Bogart’s Restaurant in Dalzell in 1980 and later opened The Stage Door Restaurant in Peru in 1984, which he owned and operated until closing in 2001.
Survivors include his wife, Lynette; two daughters, Sammi Hageman and Nicolette (Steve) Piano all of Gilbert; one granddaughter, Gianna Piano; his father, Erwin Hageman of Peru; his sister, Suzanne Ryan of Peru; one niece, Molly Ryan of Peru; and his sister-in-law, Helen Hageman of Bloomington.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis Hageman; his brother, Philip Hageman and his brother-in-law, John Ryan.
