Richard Parrotte

Richard Parrotte, 82, of 101 Century Oak, Spring Valley died at 10:40 a.m. May 6, 2013, in his home.
Graveside services will be at Valley Memorial Park, Spring Valley, at a later date. Barto Funeral Home, Spring Valley, is assisting with the services.
Parrotte was born June 2, 1930, in Macomb to John and Nancy (Miller) Parrotte. He married Elizabeth Urbanski on May 6, 1983.
Parrotte retired from Huntsman Chemical Co. in Peru where he had worked as an accountant. He was a member of St. Paul Episcopal Church in La Salle and Seniors Bowling League at Illinois Valley Super Bowl. He served in the U.S. Navy Reserves 1947-1951 and was a Korean War Army veteran serving 1952-53.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Glen Parrotte of Marysville, Wash., and Richard (Marcia) Parrotte of Winfield; two daughters, Debra Fechtman of Martinez, Ga., and Nancy Swiderski of Warrenville; one stepson, William Zawacki of Oglesby; one stepdaughter, Marjee (Jerry) Martin of Peoria; 11 grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; 2 stepgreat-grandchildren; and one sister, Doris Branch of Largo, Fla..
He was preceded in death by one brother, John Parrotte.
