Mildred (Meaney) Dunn, 93, of Princeton, formerly of Ottawa and Tonica, died April 6, 2013, in Manor Court, Princeton.
A funeral Mass will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday in St. Columba Church, Ottawa, with the Reverend David Kipfer officiating. Burial be Monday at St. Columba Cemetery. Visitation will be 11-11:30 a.m. Thursday in the church. Ottawa Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She was born on Oct. 28, 1919, in La Salle to Albert and Rose (Sallers) Grubb. She married Lawrence (Yay) Meaney in 1938. He passed away Sept. 5, 1986.
She was a member of St. Peter and Paul Church in Leonore for many years and was a member of Ladd Moose including the “Over 60 Club.
She is survived by her current husband of 33 years, James (Jay) Dunn of Princeton; her daughters, Laurie Scott of Conroe, Texas, Marlene (Dave) Husemann of Princeton and Susan (John) Bailey of Ottawa; daughter-in-law, Marie (Larry) Meaney of Earlville; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren, one niece; and a stepdaughter, Carole (Mike) Vaughn of Princeton.
She also was preceded in death by her children, Sharon Lee and Larry (Butch) Meaney; two sisters, Viola Bohm and Elaine Beutler; two nieces; and her second husband Dale McCloud.
