Richard McComber



Richard Lee McComber, 78, of Tiskilwa died March 1, 2013, in Colonial Hall Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Princeton.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Fiocchi-Jensen Funeral Home, Princeton, with the Rev. Todd Krost of Tiskilwa Community Church officiating. Private interment will be at Mount Bloom Cemetery, Tiskilwa at a later date.
Visiting hours will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services Thursday in the funeral home.

Mr. McComber was born Aug. 27, 1934, to Roy and Mary (O’Hara) McComber in Quincy. He married Betty Morris on June 8, 1956, in Tiskilwa.

He had served in the U.S. Army from 1957-59. He had worked at the Princeton Sealing Wax Co. for 40 years.

Survivors are his wife, Betty of Tiskilwa; three sons, Rick McComber of Tiskilwa, Mike (Heather) McComber of Tiskilwa and Tim (Lisa) McComber of Highland, Calif.; eight grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bob (Ruth) of Arizona and Russ (Sherry) of Iowa; two sisters, Marsha (Jeff) Alison of California and Sue Dillon of Iowa; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and one sister.

Memorials may be directed to VITAS Hospice, Mount Bloom Cemetery, Tiskilwa Ambulance Service or the donor’s choice.
