Roland L. Johnson, 84, of Princeton died at 11 a.m. Feb. 24, 2013, in Perry Memorial Hospital, Princeton.

No services are scheduled.

Cremation rites will be accorded. Inurnment will be at a later date.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday in Grant-Johnson Funeral Home, Princeton.

Mr. Johnson was born May 18, 1928, in Dover Township to Conrad and Nina (Peterson) Johnson. He married Verda I. Rabe on Nov. 12, 1950, in Princeton.
He was a retired farmer.

After graduation from Malden High School, he served as a private 1st class in the U.S. Army in World War II.

He was a member of First Lutheran Church, Princeton; Bureau County Angus Association and Bureau County Farm Bureau.

Survivors include one son, Ronald (Valerie) Johnson of Princeton; one daughter, Rhonda Johnson of Des Moines, Iowa; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one brother, Robert (Marcia) Johnson.

He was preceded in death by his wife in 1993; one son, Randall Johnson; and two brothers, Lyle and Doug Johnson.

Memorials may be directed to First Lutheran Church, Princeton.
