Jack Christianson

Jack F. Christianson, 84, of Bureau passed away Feb 24, 2013, in St. Margaret’s Hospital, Spring Valley.

Funeral service will be at noon Friday in Norberg Memorial Home, Princeton. The Rev. Jon Olinger will officiate. Burial will be private and at a later date.

The family will receive friends 10 a.m.-noon Friday in Norberg Memorial Home, Princeton.

Jack was born Dec. 2, 1928, in Peoria. He married Anna Erwin on Aug 27, 1975, in Ottawa.

He graduated from East Peoria High School in 1946. He was with New York Life Insurance Co. for 50 years. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Jack was a dedicated husband and family man. 

Survivors are his wife; six children, Bryan (Rose) Christianson of Florida and Monica Christianson, Tim Christianson, Yens Christianson, Susie Christianson and John Christianson, all of the Peoria area; six stepchildren, Terry (Steve) Marroquin of Seatonville, William Duffell of Bureau, Lori (Bob) Cotter of Millstadt, Billy Raye (Melissa) Tillotson of DePue and John (Pauline) Tillotson of East Peoria; 14 grandchildren especially his granddaughter, Polma Christianson. His very special companion, his dog, Mimi, also survives.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Eileen Muller, and one stepdaughter, Paula Duffell.

Memorials may be directed to the family for charitable disbursement.
