Jeffrey L. Chapman, 49, of West Brooklyn died Feb. 23, 2013, in his home.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota with the Rev. Larry Sheaves officiating. Burial will be at GreenfieldCemetery, LaMoille.
There will be no visitation.
Mr. Chapman was born April 25, 1963, in Mendota to Donald Leon Chapman and Mary Kay (Swope) Evans. He married Joyce O’Brien on June 2, 1998, in Litchfield.
He was a cook and farmer.
He is survived by his wife; three stepchildren, Virginia (Rich) Shoultz of Litchfield, John (Michelle) O’Brien of Raymond, Ill., and Dawn Woolard of Mendota; 12 stepgrandchildren; 15 stepgreat-grandchildren; his mother, Mary Kay Evans of Coram of Montana; seven sisters, Kimberly K. (Michael) Bialas, Denise R. (Edward Culver) Chapman, Wanda S. (Scott) Winters, Candy J. (Greg) Changler, Tona K. (Lonnie) Brier, Tora A. (Tony) Powell and Lavina J. (Doug) Nelson.
He was preceded in death by his father, one brother, Terry, and one stepgreat-grandchild.
