Donald K. Lanning, 81, of McNabb passed away Jan. 10, 2013, in Methodist Medical Center, Peoria.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Winterrowd Funeral Home with pastor Steve Adamson officiating. Music will be provided by the Rev. Greg Rosecrans. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery.

Visitation will be 8:30-10:30 a.m. Friday in the funeral home.

Donald was born on July 26, 1931, in Streator to Earl Alvin and Susan (Padgett) Lanning. He married Mary Lou Epley on Dec. 4, 1954.

He attended Streator grade schools and worked at Thatcher Glass for 29 years. He was a member of Streator Moose and attended the senior center in Standard. He was affiliated with Faith Assembly of God, Peru.

He is survived by two sons, Daniel (Joyce) Lanning Sr. and David (Judy) Lanning Sr., both of Streator; four grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife on Jan. 16, 2012; one daughter in infancy, Darlene Lanning; one grandson, Shane Lanning; five brothers, Ray, Max, Alvin, Floyd and Russ Lanning; and one sister, Alta Mootz.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Lanning, Sr, David Lanning, Sr, Daniel Lanning, Jr., David Lanning, Jr, Jerry Lanning and Ed Entwistle. Honorary pallbearers will be granddaughters, Jessica Bruce and Sandra Dawson, and great-granddaughters, Alexis, Abigail, and Halie Lanning.

Memorials may be directed to Faith Assembly of God Church in Peru or the family of Donald Lanning.
