Donald Dale Gray, 86, of Twin Lakes, Wis. died Jan. 11, 2013, after a long battle with cancer.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in St. John Catholic Church, Twin Lakes. The Rev. Michael Sparrow will officiate.
Inurnment will be at Mound Prairie Cemetery with full military rites.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Thursday until the time of services in the church.
Arrangements are through Haase-Lockwood and Assoc. Funeral Homes and Crematory, Twin Lakes Chapel.
Mr. Gray was born May 14, 1926, in Tonica to Emmett and May (Uphoff) Gray. He married Patricia Dunne on Nov. 29, 1947, in Lostant.
He grew up on the family farm near Tonica. He was a combat veteran of World War II and was a member of the Amphibious Forces of the U.S. Navy. He received several service ribbons and three battle stars.
He and his wife moved to Twin Lakes in 1969. He spent his years furnishing products and services to local farmers. He retired from Burlington Co-op in 1988. He enjoyed fishing, dancing and gardening.
Survivors are one daughter, Pamela (Dennis) Ford of Tonica; one son, Michael (Susan) Gray of Camp Lake, Wis.; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife on April 9, 2012.
Memorials may be directed to American Cancer Society or VNA Hospice.
