Adele Marie (Walgenbach) Hartmann, 88, of Kansas City, Mo., died Nov. 28, 2012, in Lake George, Colo., in the home of her daughter.

Services were Dec. 4 in St. Patrick Catholic Church, Kansas City, Mo. Burial was at Resur-rection Cemetery.

Mrs. Hartmann was born Jan. 8, 1924, in Spring Valley to H.O. “Bud” and Vera (Maurer) Walgenbach. She married Joseph Hartmann on Dec. 16, 1950, in Queen of the Holy Rosary Church, La Salle.

She graduated from La Salle-Peru Township High School, worked at Westclox and then moved to Washington, D.C., to work at the Pentagon. She moved to Kansas City, where she met her husand, in 1950.

She was a 60-year member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, served as Eucharistic minister and sponsored a Marriage TEC Group for many years. She was a member of Altar and Rosary Society, Parent Teachers Association and National Council of Catholic Women. She was president of the Diocesan Council of Catholic Women for several years.

Survivors are four sons, Joseph (Carol) Hartmann of Michigan, Christopher (Janice) Hartmann of Kansas City, Douglas Hartmann of Kansas City and William (Crystal) Hartmann of Texas; three daughters, Lynn Johnson of Colorado, Lisa (Patrick) Pierce of Kansas City and Lori Fetterling of Kansas City; 23 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Lois (Robert) Cloughley of Leawood, Kan., and Carol (Dale) Straughn of Oglesby; one sister-in-law, Pauline Leslie of Kansas City; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 2007; one brother, Edward Walgenbach; and one sister, Audrey Flaherty.
