Steven D. Hylin, 54, of Peru died at 12:10 p.m. Nov. 17, 2012, surrounded by family at St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Tonica United Methodist Church. Pastor Mark Nowakowski will officiate. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Tonica. Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Sunday in Hurst Funeral Home in Tonica and from 10 a.m. Monday until time of services in the church.
Steven was born Dec. 14, 1957, in Spring Valley to Donald and Donna (Roeder) Hylin.
He was a cook at various restaurants.
Steven is survived by his mother and stepfather, Donna and Rev Gordon Carls of Tonica; one sister, Cheryl Schrader of Peru; one brother, Jeffrey Hylin of Leonore; two nephews; one niece; five great-nieces, three great-nephews; and aunts, uncles and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Memorials may be directed to his family or his church.
