John Maller

John C. Maller, 55, of Upton, Wyo., passed away suddenly at his home Nov. 3, 2012, of a heart condition. 

Mr. Maller was born May 30, 1957, in Mendota to John E. and Myrna Jean (Kerchner) Maller. He was raised in Princeton and graduated from Princeton High School in 1975.  He went to work for BNSF railroad in Illinois and moved to Gillette, Wyo., in 1977.

John married Martha Przybilla on May 17, 1997, at Ponderosa Ranch, Incline Village, Nev. He retired on disability from BNSF railroad in 2001.
John was a member of Titanic Historical Society and Burlington Route Historical Society.  He was an avid sports fan and a super fan of the Chicago Bulls and “Da Bears.” He loved animals and kept a special place in his heart for his pets.

He is survived by his wife; his mother, Jean Maller of Princeton; stepsons, Ray Fietek of Las Vegas, Nev.; Craig Dolphay, LaRon Dolphay and Joel (May) Westermeyer, all of Gillette; one stepdaughter, Jessica (Casey) George of Upton; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Michael (Nancy) Maller of Fort Collins, Colo., and Paul (Bobbi) Maller of Gillette, Wyo.; one sister, Ann Maller of Princeton; and three nieces, Courtney, Katie and Elizabeth.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Memorials may be directed to Friends of Strays no-kill shelter in Princeton. Memorials and condolences may be directed in John’s name to Walker Funeral Home 410 Medical Arts Court, Gillette, Wyo.
