Abi continued to irritate everyone in her tribe. Even after the grilling she received at the previous tribal council, she is very unaware of how she comes across. "There's no compassion here," Abi said. "I have to have compassion for myself." The others tried to complete alliances. It seems like Penner's inability to commit to a final three made people leery of what he might do.
Who won individual immunity? Abi-Marie Gomes, 32 a business student from Los Angeles. At the Survivor auction Abi spent all of her $500 to gain an advantage at the immunity challenge. She was able to go to the last leg and thus, being well rested, she won immunity.
Who went home? Jonathan Penner 50, a writer from Los Angeles. During "Survivor: Micronesia," Penner was taken out of the game due to a knee infection. He also was on the jury on "Survivor: Cook Island." When Abi won immunity, Penner was the next target of one alliance and Denise was the other in a 4/3 vote
Who should have gone? Abi. By buying her way into the final three, she avoided elimination.
Most valuable player: I think Malcolm showed a lot of compassion to Abi and generally seems to play the game fairly. But next week, he seems embarrassed by things his brother says.
Best quote: "Abi's like a girlfriend that you broke up with but she just won't go away," Malcolm said.
Next time: Family visits bring out emotional responses.
Probst observation: "Abi you've been on the top, you've been on the bottom; you've been outcast and you've been safe."
Jury: R.C., Jeff, Artis, Pete, Penner
