Glory days remembered
NewsTribune photos/Scott AndersonLa Salle-Peru Township High School class of 1942 — and honorary members who married into the class — have met for an annual reunion luncheon for about two decades. Among the attendees at the 74th reunion Wednesday at the Village Cafe in Peru were Norma Weber (from left), Don Huling and Madeline Mills of Oglesby. “Getting old ain’t easy,” Huling said. Mills agreed: “No it isn’t. You’ve got to be tough.” “But it’s better than the alternative,” Huling concluded.
