Before the challenge at Redemption Island, Ciera said she doesn't want her mom to come back because it will ruin her game. Nice daughter.
Aras said there is an alliance of seven, Aras, Vytas, Tina, Katie, Gervase, Tyson, Monica. "There's 11 people in the game, we have a distinct advantage," Aras said.
Tyson found the hidden idol. I've never had an idol before, but I've never won the game before … I hope this gives me advantage."
While Aras was pushing a vote to get rid of Laura, Tyson wants to get rid of Aras. But Tyson was frustrated by the reassurance Monica needed to get her to see things his way.
All the people at tribal council agreed that if the couples stayed together it would be a rough road for the singles still in the game. Gervase said, "For the smart players, nothing will change. But it's change like that you have to ready for and when it does, take advantage of that."
RI challenge: John, Laura B and Laura M competed in the hold onto the pole challenge with Laura M winning and re-entering the tribe and the other two went home. The tribes merged at 12. Laura was given the clue to the hidden immunity idol but she threw it in the fire. Think the producers will be doing this again?
Who went home: Laura Boneham, 44, Ruppert's wife, a merchandiser from Indianapolis, and John, 30, Candice's husband, an Army orthopedic surgery resident from Washington, D.C..
Who went to Redemption Island: Aras Baskauskas, 31, winner of Panama - Exile Island, a musician from Santa Monica, Calif. Aras orchestrated the ousting of either Laura or Cierra, but was foiled by the befuddled by the sneaky, snaky Tyson who gathered fear in some of the singles still in the game about the power of the couples. I have Aras in my office pool, but he still has a chance.
Most annoying player: Monica. I didn't realize how dependent she is on getting reassurances from other players before she will vote. And then her logic often doesn't make any sense.
Most surprising moment: That Aras got voted out. From here I can clearly see Tyson manipulating the game. But the other players don't seem to see any of it. I hope I would be smarter..
Just about Jeff Probst: I wonder how many times Jeff has said, "I'll go tally the votes."
Next time: Alliance mates get on Tyson including Tina about the vote to oust Aras. "You just found five jury votes that you'll never get," Tina said. Aras arrives at Redemption Island all alone. "I know Vytas (his brother) is in a really tough position," Aras said. "I wouldn't be surprised if he joined me next."
