Central Region Tournament: Ohio starts 3-0

Holmes County, the Ohio state champion that is in the Senior League Central Region Tournament for the fifth consecutive year, started 3-0.

Ohio beat Illinois 8-0 in its first game Saturday before winning a pair of games Sunday.

Ohio edged Michigan 6-5 and later routed Iowa 12-2.

Ohio leads the tournament as the only unbeaten team.

There are six one-loss teams, including Peru.

Illinois went 2-1 with wins over Wisconsin (7-3) and Peru (6-3).

Iowa beat Indiana 13-11, Michigan routed Missouri 15-1, Missouri beat North Dakota 11-6 and Wisconsin topped Indiana 5-1.

Indiana and North Dakota are both 0-2.
