Briefs: Area players earn all-conference

Area players honored by Three Rivers
The Three Rivers Conference released its all-conference teams Thursday and the area was well represented.
In the South Division, 11 area players were honored, including four on the first team.
Earning first-team honors were St. Bede’s Morgan King and Princeton’s Ashley Farraher, Rebecca Hult and Michelle Kelly, who helped the Tigressses to the TRC South title.

St. Bede’s Morgan Bosnich and Olivia Mueller were named to the second team along with Hall’s Brooke Keegan and Princeton’s Hailey Schultz.

Honorable mention picks were Hall’s Vanessa Olivares and Princeton’s Mollie Bates and Alicia Poss.

In the North Division, Bureau Valley had three players selected, led by Sydney Lebahn on the first team.

BV’s Lindsey Hoffert was voted to the second team and Val Reuter was named honorable mention.

Three area players earn All-LTC
Three area players earned all-conference honors in the Little Ten Conference.
Shiela Browning and Ragen Forbes represented LaMoille-Ohio, which was conference runner-up with a 7-1 league record.

Leland-Earlville’s Alexis Maxwell also was an all-conference pick.

MacDavitt, Scheppers earn all-conference
St. Bede graduate and IVCC sophomore Kayla MacDavitt was named to the All-Arrowhead Conference volleyball team.

MacDavitt averaged 2.68 kills and 0.92 blocks per set as she helped the Lady Eagles to a 20-13 overall record and an 8-4 mark in the conference, which tied IVCC for second place with Carl Sandburg.

Kalli Scheppers, a Mendota graduate, also earned all-conference for her sophomore season at Sauk Valley.

Scheppers averaged 3.8 kills and 2.1 digs per set.
