Prep of the Week: Henry's Nathan Helle

NT Sports Staff

Name: Nathan Helle

School:
Henry

Year:
Senior

Sport:
Football

Position:
Running back

Nicknames:
Sometimes kids on my team call me ‘Boobie’ off of Friday Night Lights (from the book and movie).

Superstitions:
I listen to “Hustlers Ambition” by 50 Cent before every game. Ten minutes before the game, I have it on replay.

What is the song you listen to that no one would think you would listen to?:
“The Climb” by Miley Cyrus.

If you could go one place in the world, where would it be?:
It would probably be Hawaii. It’s an exotic place. I’d get to be around the ocean and it would be a nice place to be.

What is your favorite food?:
My mom’s lasagna. It’s the best. Only my mom’s lasagna.

If there was another sport you would like to excel in other than the ones you play, what would it be?:
Volleyball. I actually like playing volleyball a lot.

Last week’s accomplishments: The senior River Valley running back rushed for 203 yards and three touchdowns Friday to help the Falcons cruise past West Prairie 46-8. The win improved River Valley to 5-1 overall this season and in the Lincoln Trail Conference.

Helle on his performance: Really, it goes out to the (offensive) line. They did a good job of executing. Once I get the ball, and they do a good job, I just try to do my best to see what I can do with it. Whatever the outcome is, we have to live with it and I thought we did a pretty good job.

Coach Galen Noard says: He was really on. He’s been on his game the last couple times. He played really well at Stark County (two weeks ago), and last Friday he was really on. Nine carries is all we gave him and they had problems tackling him, as a lot of teams do. Defensively, he was strong as well.
