Mendota’s Mark Prescott and Jaron Robinson continued their hot starts to the season on Thursday.

“Nice rounds to beat teams that beat us last year,” first-year MHS coach Brian Blumhorst said. “The kids really came to play in the home opener.”
Mendota’s Cody Phalen wasn’t far off as he added a round of 41, while Colton Saylor shot a 42.

For the Lady Cavaliers, Kalie Sudaj shot a team-low 47, while Rachel Gunia and Rachel Senica both turned in matching 49s.

For Princeton, Audra Reidner also shot a 49.

At Mendota
While the Mendota girls golf team does not have enough golfers to have a team score, junior Montana Schlesinger shot a medalist 50 in Thursday’s dual with Winnebago at the Mendota Golf Club.

In addition, MHS’s Monica Leonard carded a round of 60, while Brianna Kaleel shot a 64.
