The 17th Annual Bruin Golf Classic has been rescheduled to June 15.
The event, which was to be held last Saturday, was postponed after the St. Bede softball team advanced to the Class 2A state tournament.
The event will be held at Spring Creek Golf Course and includes 18 holes of golf, cart, lunch, dinner, refreshments and a prize.
Check-in is at 10:30 a.m. followed by lunch and a shotgun start at 11:30 a.m. with a four-person scramble. Cost is $80. Space is limited.

PHS summer golf practice
Princeton High School boys and girls golf teams will begin optional summer practices for all high school golfers who are planning to join the fall golf teams.
The first optional practice is from 3-5 p.m. June 10 at Hunter’s Ridge Golf Course outside of Princeton. It will be the first of a series of Monday practices throughout the summer.

Big I qualifying tournament
A Big I qualifying tournament will be held June 21 at Spring Creek Golf Course.
The event is open to male and female junior golfers whose 19th birthday does not occur before August and who have not attended college.
Winners will earn a spot in the Illinois finals held at Lick Creek Golf Course in Pekin.
Cost for the local qualifier is $25 and includes lunch.

Edgewood youth golf camp
Edgewood Park Golf Club will be having a youth camp from 5-6:30 p.m. June 17-19 for children ages 6-16.
The event is limited to the first 24 kids. Cost is $30 and includes a t-shirt.

Kid's Fishing Tournament Saturday
The Kid’s Fishing Tournament will take place Saturday on the I & M Canal at Lock 14 in La Salle.
Lock 14 is the site of the La Salle Canal Boat.
Registration begins at 8 a.m. and fishing is from 9-11 a.m.
The tournament is free and is open to boys and girls. Age divisions will be from ages 4-12 and ages 13-15.
Fishers are asked to bring their own tackle, one pole with one hook and no artificial lures. Bait, snacks and soda are provided. Prizes will be awarded in various categories.
