Briefs: St. Bede softball holding fish fry

The St. Bede softball team is holding a Lenten Fish Fry from 5-8:30 p.m. Friday at the La Salle VFW located on 24th and Donahue streets.

Tickets are $8 and include fish, fries and cole slaw. Carry out is available.

Tickets must be ordered in advanced by calling Bonnie Prokup at (815) 223-3140, ext. 200.

Money raised will support the team’s trip to Tennessee.

Ottawa Booser Club holding steak dinner
The Ottawa Township High School Booster club is holding its annual steak dinner Saturday at Festivities Unlimited in Ottawa.

The event begins at 5:30 p.m. with dinner from 6-8 p.m.

The event includes door prizes, raffles, a live auction, theme baskets and a 50/50 raffle. The auction includes signed items from the 2012 Ottawa quarterfinal football team and an “Ottawa First” commemorative hoodie autographed by the 2012 Ottawa and Marquette football teams.

The cost is $20 per person in advance and $25 at the door.

Tickets are available at the New Chalet Restaurant and The Book Mouse.
