Roundup: Putnam County girls basketball cruises past DePue

Twelve of the 14 Putnam County girls basketball players to enter Thursday’s game scored as the Lady Panthers cruised to a 54-10 victory over DePue in a Tri-County Conference game in Granville.

The Lady Panthers led 19-0 after the first quarter and 35-6 at halftime.
Allison Voss scored a game-high 13 points for Putnam County (22-4), while Daniela Pavlovich added nine points.

Alicia Marquez had seven points for DePue.

Mendota 56, Earlville-Leland 24
The Lady Trojans cruised to a non-conference victory Thursday in Earlville.

Mendota dominated the first quarter as it took a 27-3 lead before extending its advantage to 42-10 by halftime.

Alexis Maxwell led the Lady Red Raiders (2-16) with eight points and five rebounds.

Marquette 55, Henry 39
The Lady Crusaders took control early as they took a 21-3 lead after the first quarter of the Tri-County Conference game in Henry.

Alice Salt scored a team-high 11 points for Marquette (17-9, 5-2 TCC), while Marissa Gama added nine points.

Shelby Wright scored a game-high 18 points for the Lady Mallards, while Emma Cluskey added 15 points.

Fieldcrest 47, Deer Creek-Mackinaw 20
Tessa Holland had a huge night Thursday to lead the Lady Knights to a Heart of Illinois Conference victory on the road.

The sophomore forward scored a game-high 25 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. Haley Ruestman added nine points for FHS.
