Prep of the Week: L-P's Noah Lamboley

NT Sports Staff

Name: Noah Lamboley

School: La Salle-Peru

Year: Junior

Sport: Basketball

Position: Guard

Other sports: Baseball

Nicknames: Lambo. It started probably in grade school. All my friends just called me Lambo — short for my last name.

What is your favorite sports memory?: My favorite sports memory would be when we went to state last year for baseball.

If you could spend a day with any famous athlete, who would it be and why?: Michael Jordan. I’ve been a fan of him since I knew who he was. Obviously, the greatest basketball player alive. I love basketball.

What is your favorite food to eat after the game?: I love to go to B-Dubs (Buffalo Wild Wings) with all my friends. (I get) 12 honey BBQ boneless wings.
What’s the most played song on your iPod recently?: ASAP Rocky featuring Skrillex (“Wild for the Night”).

What’s the most embarrassing song on your iPod?: Probably some Justin Bieber song my sister put on there without me knowing.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?: I’d like to go to Cuba. I heard it’s beautiful down there.

What’s your favorite subject?: Science. I really like marine biology.

Last week’s accomplishments: Lamboley scored 14 points and hit a pull-up jumper with 6.6 seconds left Friday to lead La Salle-Peru to a narrow 48-46 victory over Sterling in a Northern Illinois Big 12 Conference West Division game. Saturday, he scored a team-high 16 points and grabbed a team-high six rebounds to lead the Cavaliers to a 43-31 non-conference win over Princeton.

Lamboley on his performance: I’m just playing within the team. I do my best for them. I do what coach tells me, and I just do what I can out there on the court.

Coach Jim Cherveny says: Noah is every coach’s dream. He can handle the basketball, he can pass, he can shoot, he can defend and he does it all with high energy and with a determined attitude.
