Roundup: IVCC wins at United Center

St. Bede graduate Alec Schwab scored a game-high 25 points and dished out four assists Monday to help the IVCC men’s basketball team to a 73-56 rout of Prairie State at the United Center in Chicago.

Princeton alumnus Michael Murray had a double-double with 14 points and a game-high 14 rebounds.

The Eagles (11-3) led 35-18 at halftime.

GIRLS BASKETBALL
Fieldcrest 50, Henry 19
Haley Ruestman lit up the Lady Mallards for 23 points Monday to lead Fieldcrest to an easy non-conference win in Minonk.

Tessa Holland had eight points, seven rebounds and three assists for the Lady Knights, Julia Jochums scored six points and dished out six assists and Alayna Schwiderski added six points and five rebounds.

Emma Cluskey led Henry with 11 points.

Morrison 41, Hall 29
Kaylee Golden scored a game-high 12 points Monday, but it wasn’t enough as the Lady Red Devils fell in a non-conference game in Spring Valley.

Hinckley-Big Rock 51, LaMoille-Ohio 18
Shiela Browning scored seven points and Elizabeth Geuther pulled in 11 rebounds Monday as the Lady Lions fell in a Little Ten Conference game in Hinckley.

Paw Paw 39, Earlville-Leland 20
Alexis Maxwell scored 12 points and grabbed four rebounds Monday as the Lady Red Raiders fell in a Little Ten Conference game in Paw Paw.

BOYS BOWLING
At Streator
Austin Phillips rolled a 1,166 series Monday as Ottawa placed seventh in the Northern Illinois Big 12 Conference Meet at Bowl-Mor Lanes in Streator.

Phillips bowled a 268 to record the highest individual game of the day.

Dixon rallied from 100 pins down to claim the team title with 6,969 pins. DeKalb was second with 6,897 and Streator finished third with 6,702.
Josh Rex of Dixon won the individual title with a 1,274.

No La Salle-Peru results were submitted.

Hall 3,556, Mendota 3,347
Four Red Devils rolled a 619 or better Monday as Hall topped Mendota in a non-conference match in Mendota.

David McManus led the Red Devils with a 656 series, which included a match-best 256 high game.

Drew Lechner bowled a 634, Tony Biccochi had a 623 and Al Baldonado added a 619 for Hall.

Michael Rosalez led the Trojans with a 649 series.
