Area roundup: Lady Crusaders burn past Hall

The Marquette girls basketball teams held Hall to two points in both the first and fourth quarters en route to a 50-18 win over the Lady Red Devils Monday in Tri-County Conference action at Bader Gym in Ottawa.

Kendall Kauffman and Angela Evola each had 13 points for the Lady Crusaders (3-3, 1-1 TCC).

Jacquie Wallaert led Hall (3-5, 1-2 TCC) with five points.

Henry 36, Bureau Valley 28 (OT)
Emma Cluskey led the way for the Lady Mallards with 13 points as they topped the Storm in non-conference action Monday in Manlius.

Kim Perdew and Shelby Wright each added seven points for Henry.

Lacey Devenney tallied a team-high nine points for BV (1-8), while Nicole Bornsheuer hauled in a team-high nine rebounds, six offensive.

Fieldcrest 60, Lexington 28
Haley Ruestman led the way with 20 points as the Lady Knights rolled past Heart of Illinois Conference foe Lexington in Minonk.

Tessa Holland added a double-double for Fieldcrest with 12 points and 13 rebounds and also dished out a team-best six assists in a well-rounded effort.

Fieldcrest led 15-7 after the first quarter before blowing things open with a 23-point second frame to lead 38-16 at halftime.

Paw Paw 66, LaMoille-Ohio 30
The Lady Lions fell at home in Little Ten Conference action.
Alissa Schrader led the co-op with 10 points, while Kaitlyn Hughes grabbed a team-best eight rebounds.

La Salle-Peru 3,513, Hall 3,052
L-P’s Chris Reynolds rolled games of 234, 193, and 246 for a match-best 673 series to lead the Cavaliers to a non-conference win over the Red Devils at Ladd Lanes.

Luke Tomaszewski added a 638 series for the Cavs, while Jake Lipka finished with a 597 series.

David McManus led Hall with games of 168, 191, and 206 for a team-best 565 series, while Drew Lechner had a team-high game of 216 and a 558 series.
