The city of Ottawa’s standout football season just keeps getting better.
The city’s high school football teams — which are both unbeaten at 7-0 — are each ranked in this week’s Associated Press Poll, which was released Tuesday.
Ottawa moved up to No. 7 in the Class 6A poll, while Marquette entered the Class 1A state rankings for the first time this season at No. 10.
Also from the area, Amboy-LaMoille continued to receive votes in Class 2A despite last week’s loss to St. Bede.
No other area teams were ranked or received votes.
There is a new No. 1-state ranked team as Woodstock Marian is No. 1 in Class 5A. Previously No. 3, Marian jumped over No. 2 Morris after Marian beat former No. 1 Lombard Montini 49-24 last week.
Retaining No. 1 state rankings were Maine South in Class 8A, Glenbard West in 7A, Crete-Monee in 6A, Rock Island Alleman in 4A, Aurora Christian in 3A, Mercer County in 2A and Stockton in 1A.
From area conferences, in addition to Morris in the Northern Illinois Big 12 Conference East Division, Kaneland remained at No. 2 in 6A, while Sycamore received a vote in 5A. No NIB 12 West Division teams received votes.
In addition to Amboy-LaMoille in the Big Rivers Conference, Sterling Newman remained No. 2 in Class 3A.
In the Big Northern Conference West Division, Byron remained at No. 10 in Class 4A, while Winnebago remained at No. 8 in 3A. Stillman Valley received votes in 4A and Rockford Lutheran received votes in 2A.
In the West Central Conference, Macomb moved up to No. 3 in Class 4A, while Illini West remained at No. 7 in 2A.
In the Heart of Illinois Conference, Tri-Valley remained at No. 4 in Class 2A, while LeRoy remained at No. 5 in 1A. Ridgeview received votes in 1A.
In addition to Mercer County in the Lincoln Trail Conference, Annawan-Wethersfield moved up to No. 9 in Class 2A, while Stark County remained at No. 9 in 1A.
