The IVCC volleyball team went 5-0 over the weekend to win the Kankakee Tournament.
The Lady Eagles opened the tournament with wins over Lake Land (25-17, 18-25, 25-9, 25-17) and the Grace JV (25-22, 25-19, 25-16) on Friday.
On Saturday, IVCC beat Danville (22-25, 25-19, 25-16, 25-18), Rend Lake (25-19, 25-12, 25-18) and Kankakee (25-10, 17-25, 25-23, 15-25, 15-12).
La Salle-Peru alumna Crystalynn Washkowiak and St. Bede graduates Hailee Brayton and Kayla MacDavitt were named to the all-tournament team.
Washkowiak led the team in kills in three of the five matches and led the team in digs in four of the five matches. She finished with 40 kills and 74 digs.
Brayton led the team in points against Danville (11) and Kankakee (19) and had five aces in each of those matches. MacDavitt had a team-high 24 blocks in the tournament. She led the Lady Eagles in blocks in every match.
Hall graduate Johnna Schultz had a team-best 89 assists for IVCC (17-9).
MEN’S GOLF At Byron IVCC placed sixth among 10 teams over the weekend at the Region IV Tournament at Prairie Vista Golf Course.
The Eagles finished with a three-day score of 994.
Michael Walker led IVCC on the third day with a 79. St. Bede graduate Alex Harrison had an 83, Tanner Galyen had an 86 and St. Bede alumnus Tyler Dobrich added an 88.
