At 6:14 a.m., police were told someone stole a bank card and $100 after breaking into a van in the 200 block of Bronson Street. Less than two hours later, a resident reported an unlocked car in the 100 block of East Grant Street was entered but nothing appeared to be missing.

That afternoon, a resident in the 400 block of S. Vermillion Street reported someone entered her garage and stole two X-boxes and multiple games.

Just after 9 a.m., a resident in the 1200 block of Madison Street reported someone stole Coach sunglasses valued at $200, compact discs valued at $200 and a change purse and money work about $50.

The Madison Street burglary victim said someone also stole a Pop-Tart.

Already investigating several car burglaries and a garage burglary, Streator police received a request for extra patrol in the vicinity of the 1200 block of Reading Street after a theft report at 8:06 a.m. Friday, Streator police said Sunday morning.

A resident reported fishing poles and tackle boxes were stolen out of a boat and also “noticed that the flowers were down like somebody tried to get in the residence.”
